RTA launches new Dubai to Abu Dhabi direct bus from Al Quoz
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new non-stop intercity bus service between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The new route operates daily from Al Quoz Bus Station to MBZ City Bus Station, offering a direct connection with no stops in between.
Operated in partnership with Capital Express, the service is priced at just AED 25 per person. Passengers can pay using nol cards, contactless cards, or cash. Each bright green bus has a capacity of 50 passengers and departs every three hours.
The new route offers a convenient option for residents in areas such as Umm Suqeim and Al Barsha to travel to Abu Dhabi, complementing existing routes from Al Ghubaiba and Ibn Battuta Bus Stations.
Buses remain the most affordable way to travel between the two cities, and in 2026, the Etihad Rail passenger service is expected to begin operations, reducing travel time between Dubai and Abu Dhabi to under an hour.
