CBSE Denies Fake Circular on Class 12 Exam Reschedule

India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified that a circular circulating online claiming the rescheduling of Class 12 English examinations in the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates, is fake.

The misleading notice mentioned countries such as Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and falsely attributed the information to Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations at CBSE.

In an official alert shared on its social media handle, CBSE clearly stated that the circular has no official validity and urged students and schools to ignore such messages. The board advised everyone to rely only on official CBSE communications for authentic updates regarding exam schedules.

Meanwhile, CBSE has postponed certain Class 12 board exams in parts of the Middle East, including the UAE, that were originally scheduled between March 12 and March 16, 2026. Revised dates will be announced after reviewing the situation.

The board is expected to assess the situation again on March 14 before finalising the schedule for the remaining examinations from March 16 onwards. Students are advised to stay in contact with their schools and follow official announcements for further updates.

Earlier, all Class 10 exams scheduled from March 2 to March 11 were cancelled, while several Class 12 exams during the same period were postponed due to ongoing regional tensions. CBSE reiterated that the safety of students and teachers remains its top priority.
