Dubai to Host UAE’s Biggest Diwali Celebration

The UAE is gearing up for one of the grandest celebrations of the Indian community outside India, with over 60,000 attendees expected to gather at Zabeel Park in Dubai on Sunday, October 26, for the Emirates Loves India Diwali event. Organised by Emirates Loves India in collaboration with the UAE Government Media Office, the free celebration will highlight the long-standing friendship between the UAE and India through a rich showcase of culture, music, and cuisine.

The event aims to celebrate the contributions of the Indian expat community to the UAE’s growth across various sectors while reflecting the cultural and artistic diversity of India.. Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will attend as the chief guest, alongside senior diplomats, business leaders, and representatives from Dubai Police.

The evening promises a star-studded lineup with performances by Neha Kakkar, Mika Singh, Neeraj Madhav, and Nabeel Khan, bringing together some of India’s most popular artists for an unforgettable concert under the Dubai skyline. Gates at Zabeel Park will open at 2 p.m., and the festivities will continue until 11 p.m., featuring live concerts, a cultural parade, handicraft exhibitions, and a special kids’ zone. Visitors can also enjoy eight cultural stalls, 30 food booths serving Indian delicacies, and dedicated photo zones designed to capture the spirit of the occasion.

This year marks the second edition of the event, following the success of last year’s “Ghar Jaisi Diwali” (Homelike Diwali) celebration, which drew more than 60,000 people — exceeding organizers’ expectations. The 2024 event transformed Zabeel Park into a lively cultural hub, filled with music, art, and performances set against the backdrop of the iconic Dubai Frame. To accommodate the large crowds, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) extended Metro service hours last year, a move that may be repeated to manage this year’s expected turnout.

Although entry to the Diwali celebration is free, registration is mandatory. Guests can secure their entry by sending the word “India” to +971 4702 7721 on WhatsApp to receive a QR code. Organisers have encouraged families and residents of all nationalities to attend, describing the event as a tribute to unity, cultural pride, and the UAE’s inclusive spirit.

With its mix of live entertainment, cultural showcases, and delicious cuisine, the Emirates Loves India Diwali event at Zabeel Park promises to be a memorable celebration of friendship, diversity, and community between the UAE and India.
