Emirates NBD DirectRemit Charges Start Sept 2025

Starting September 1, 2025, Emirates NBD will implement a Dh26.25 fee for certain international money transfers made via its DirectRemit service when initiated through the bank’s mobile app (ENBD X) or online banking platform.

DirectRemit currently offers instant, zero-fee transfers to partner banks in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom, with a minimum transfer amount of Dh100. While the initial customer notification implied a general introduction of fees across all corridors, the bank has since clarified that transfers to these key countries will remain free.

The Dh26.25 charge (inclusive of VAT) will apply only to transfers made to destinations outside these core corridors.

In a statement to Gulf News, Emirates NBD confirmed that affected customers will receive direct email notifications and that an official press release is forthcoming to clarify the fee update.

International wire transfer fees in the UAE typically range from Dh20 to Dh60 depending on the bank and destination. Customers are encouraged to review their recent transfer activity to assess any potential impact and compare available options for better value.

Notably, there are no announced changes to Emirates NBD’s exchange rate margins or processing times in connection with this update.
