Dubai Cafe’s AED 5000 ‘Gold Karak’ Tea Redefines Luxury

Boho Café, located in Emirates Financial Towers, has become a standout spot in DIFC, thanks to its innovative menu that puts Karak tea in the spotlight. Offering everything from a budget-friendly Dh1.99 cup to a lavish Dh5,000 gold-infused version, the café has redefined how this beloved Indian beverage is enjoyed.

Owner Sucheta Sharma explained the reasoning behind their focus on Karak tea. “Karak tea is an integral part of Indian culture, and with around 6,500 Indian professionals among the 11,500 working in DIFC, we wanted to bring them a familiar yet extraordinary experience. The Dh1.99 Karak fills a gap for affordable options in the area.”

While the café is known for its predominantly Indian menu, its royal offerings have garnered significant attention.

For those looking to indulge, Boho Café offers its Gold Karak Tea (Dh150), infused with 24K edible gold flakes. The pièce de résistance, however, is the Gold Souvenir Karak Tea, priced at Dh5,000. This luxurious version is served in a silver cup and saucer that customers can take home as keepsakes.

In addition to Karak tea, the royal menu features other golden delicacies, including Gold Coffee (Dh150), Gold Water (Dh300), Gold Burgers (Dh300), and Gold Ice Cream (Dh400), all featuring edible gold.

“This isn’t just about spectacle,” said Sharma. “We wanted to offer something special for everyone — from affordable, quality food to luxury experiences for those who want to treat themselves.”

Boho Café’s blend of accessible and indulgent options has solidified its reputation as a go-to spot in DIFC, with Karak tea as its centerpiece, offering something for every taste and budget.
