Dubai Introduces Dh25 Event Parking Rates Near Key Venues
Dubai’s public parking operator, Parkin PJSC, has announced a new variable parking tariff near event venues, effective from Saturday, February 17. The updated rate will be set at Dh25 per hour during event hours, specifically in designated ‘Grand Event Zones,’ with the Dubai World Trade Centre being the first location to implement this pricing.
The initiative aims to manage parking demand during major gatherings such as conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and festivals. Parkin recommends using public transport to avoid congestion in high-traffic areas. The new event-hour parking zones will be clearly marked, with tariff details available on the Parkin website, mobile app, and social media channels.
Expanded Parking Reforms
Earlier this month, on February 1, Parkin increased parking fees in Zone F, covering The Knowledge Village, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Internet City, while extending paid parking hours from 8 AM to 10 PM.
As part of broader parking reforms announced in November 2024, Parkin is also set to launch premium parking spaces by the end of March 2025. These spaces will provide convenient access to public transport hubs, central business districts, and major shopping destinations, with tariff details available on-site and via digital platforms.
Upcoming Variable Parking Tariff System
Starting in late March, a new variable parking tariff policy will be implemented based on peak and off-peak hours:
- Peak Hours (8 AM – 10 AM & 4 PM – 8 PM)
- Dh6 per hour for Premium Parking spaces
- Dh4 per hour for standard public parking spaces
- Off-Peak Hours (10 AM – 4 PM & 8 PM – 10 PM)
- Tariffs remain unchanged
- Free Parking
- Overnight from 10 PM to 8 AM
- All-day Sunday
These measures reflect Dubai’s efforts to optimize parking space utilization and manage high-demand areas effectively.
