OCI Fees Revised from April 2026: Updated Charges for UAE Applicants
The OCI Fees 2026 (Overseas Citizen of India) update brings revised charges for applicants, especially those applying from the UAE. Effective April 1, 2026, the new fee structure covers OCI application, reissue, and update costs, with amounts payable in AED or equivalent local currency depending on where the application is submitted.
OCI Application Fees
Under the revised rules, applicants must pay the fee in Indian currency or the equivalent amount in local currency.
- Applications submitted in India:
The fee is ₹15,000 (approx. AED 660), payable via Demand Draft in favor of Pay and Accounts Officer (Secretariat), Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. - Applications submitted outside India (including UAE):
The fee is USD 275 (approx. AED 1,010) per applicant, or the equivalent in local currency. Applicants should check with the respective Indian Mission for exact AED payment details.
OCI Card Update & Reissue Charges
- Reissue after new passport (post age 20):
USD 25 (approx. AED 92) - Change of personal details:
USD 25 (approx. AED 92) - Loss of OCI card (reissue):
USD 100 (approx. AED 367) - Delayed passport detail update (after 3 months):

Important Note
OCI cardholders must update their passport details within three months of receiving a new passport to avoid penalties.
