Dubai Motorists Can ‘Park Now, Pay Later’ with New Parkin App
Dubai motorists now have a more convenient way to manage their parking with the launch of the new Parkin app. Developed by Parkin PJSC, the emirate’s largest operator of paid public parking, the app introduces several user-friendly features, including a ‘park now, pay later’ option, real-time parking locator, and digital dispute resolution for fines.
Key Features of the Parkin App
Available for iOS and Android, the app allows users to:
- Find parking in real time using its smart search and clustering features
- Pay fines, dispute charges, and request refunds seamlessly
- Schedule future parking and add reservations to their calendar
- Opt for auto-renewal and deferred payments for uninterrupted service
- Integrate parking permits into device wallets for easy access
With the AutoPay feature, the app eliminates the need for physical tickets or payment machines. It uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to detect vehicles upon entry and exit, linking them to the user’s registered payment method for automatic fee deductions.
How to Register
Motorists can sign up using:
- A new Parkin account
- Their UAE Pass or RTA account
- The Parkin registration form
Once logged in, users can pay for public and private parking, manage their wallet for top-ups, handle vehicle registrations, and subscribe to seasonal parking plans.
Enhancing Urban Mobility
Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, highlighted the app’s role in improving urban mobility and supporting Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan. “By simplifying the parking process and putting control in the hands of users, we are enhancing the overall experience and making Dubai a more connected, sustainable city,” he said.
The Parkin app is also integrated with major partners like Majid Al Futtaim, allowing seamless parking experiences at locations such as Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre.
