UAE and India Strengthen Cultural Collaboration

The United Arab Emirates and India have taken a significant step toward deepening their cultural ties through a high-level delegation meeting co-chaired by Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi and K. Nandini Singla, Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

The discussions centered on the operationalization of the India-UAE Cultural Council, aimed at fostering stronger people-to-people connections and expanding cooperation in arts, education, heritage conservation, creative industries, and youth engagement.

A key highlight of the meeting was the proposal to establish India House in the UAE, envisioned as a cultural hub to showcase India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage on a global scale. Both delegations also explored initiatives to support creative start-ups, business collaborations, and thematic sub-committees to oversee priority areas of cooperation.

Noura Al Kaabi emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening bilateral relations, stating, “The meeting with Nandini Singla and the ICCR delegation reflects our shared commitment to enhancing cultural and creative partnerships. By fostering collaboration in arts and creative industries, we are ensuring the continued growth of the strong ties between our nations.”

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to implementing tangible initiatives aligned with the vision of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, further solidifying the cultural bond between the two nations.
