Air Suvidha 2.0

India Makes Air Suvidha 2.0 Mandatory for UAE Travellers

If you’re travelling from the UAE to India, there is an important new requirement you need to complete before your journey. The Government of India has introduced Air Suvidha 2.0, an online health declaration that is now mandatory for all international passengers arriving in India, regardless of nationality or departure city.

The updated system was launched as part of enhanced public health measures following the World Health Organization’s declaration of the Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

Whether you’re an Indian citizen, UAE resident, tourist, or business traveller, completing the Air Suvidha 2.0 form is compulsory before arriving in India.

Before starting the application, make sure you have:

Important Things to Know

  • Air Suvidha 2.0 is mandatory for every international passenger arriving in India.
  • Complete the declaration before boarding your flight. It is recommended to submit it during online check-in or well before departure.
  • Air Suvidha 2.0 is separate from India’s e-Arrival Card for eligible foreign nationals. If you are required to complete both, each must be submitted individually.
  • Travellers who develop symptoms associated with Ebola within 21 days of arrival should seek immediate medical attention and inform health authorities about their recent travel history.

Why Has Air Suvidha 2.0 Been Introduced?

The updated Air Suvidha system was introduced after the World Health Organization declared the Ebola (Bundibugyo virus) outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. The initiative was launched by India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation in collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited and the Directorate General of Health Services to strengthen health screening for international arrivals.
